Single Cake Suet Holder
The design of the Single Cake Suet Holder couldn't be simpler: It's a wire cage built to house a single cake of suet to feed perching birds in the winter. The top is hinged to allow for easy refilling, and it is suspended by a single chain with a hook at the end that can fit over most tree branches. Within an hour of putting one out at the farm, we had a steady stream of juncos and chickadees, and now we seem to have a huge population of these tiny birds. You can also expect to see hairy woodpeckers, nuthatches, and flickers visit the feeding station. One suet cake lasts about one week.
